Update!

So heres my collection so far.. I built this little shelf which immediately became over populated..

Apologies for the terrible games at the bottom but they were 99p so..you know. Oh and the G&W isn't sealed but I think it looks nice on that top Zelda row!

:D !

I'm waiting on receiving my Hyrule Warriors boxset back from grading at UKG at the minute. It's been 33 days now and they seem to have stopped replying to my emails.. not so sure why.. Hopefully there's a good reason as they were really good with my first batch of games and I want to send more in for grading soon!

I've got a few more red strip games coming within the week so i'll update again when I get them.

Just got another New Super Mario Bros. These seems to be getting harder to get in non-player select form!

Seems they are way back in their schedule, they got a submission of mine for like 10 weeks now.

Steve did send me a message on Saturday I think it was, saying my game would be ready on Monday (I assume he meant Monday gone..) and I've heard nothing again since then. I don't really mind it taking longer but some updates would be nice from them to give you a bit of confidence.

Another quick update. Just got these 4 today. Wing Island seems to have been stored in a blender.. which is a shame.. I'll hold onto this one until I can find a better condition one though.

Awesome collection with some very impressive grades, I must say!

I like you aim and goal to only spend max £20 on standard games, keeps thing fresh and challenging.

keep up the hard work :)

Haven't heard from him since monday either, but he just send me a message today, that my submissions going out tomorrow and send me the labels to check them as well. Probably he was buisy the rest of the week.

Lovely viewtiful joe, by the way! :) Probably my favorite gamecube game, right after the twilight princess and wind waker. :)

Yeah, I think Steve is massively overworked by the seems of it!

Not exactly sure how things are run at UKG but it seems like he is doing the bulk of everything.

Viewtiful Joe is a great game! I'm hoping to get the other colour version at some point too.

I like this concept, and is similar to how I first started out. I would try to buy games for less than RRP, but try to get bargains at around £15-£20. At the time I was able to amass quite a decent library of PAL PlayStation, Dreamcast, and N64 titles for these kind of prices. Every now and then I would splurge and spend £40-£50 on a particularly rare title. Practically most of my collection has been £20 "bargains", but I was in the right place at the right time. Those games are now worth hundreds of Pounds

I would also refuse to pay more than £20 for a handheld game, be it GBA or PSP - with a few exceptions for some RPG's which I knew would probably hold their value (they have), but I would always try to pay less tha £15 for handheld games.

I like what you have achieved so far though, even if they are reasonably common titles for recent consoles. This is the right time to collect Wii games, for example. However, if you want to go for a more complete set, you will at some point have to adjust your collecting criteria as some of the more popular / sought after titles will be more expensive. First party Nintendo games tend to hold their value well, and few retailers will ever sell first party titles for less than £30. If you spot any first party titles lower than £30, snap them up as they are a bargain, but also bear in mind that they warranted a price drop for a reason (some games are less in demand than others). A lot of Wii games are still quite common, but these titles will probably not be good for investment. I think the sought after Wii titles have already started to present themselves, so chances of finding those titles for under £20 is slim

If you're collecting to grade, then you can afford to be picky at this time. If a particular title isn't as mint as you expected, then you can easily get hold of another. eBay sellers aren't always the best places to get mint sealed Wii games - I find ShopTo to be quite good, and whenever I have bought Wii or DS / 3DS games from them they have always been case fresh. Amazon are hit and miss, and as for GAME... you're best bet is to visit your local store and see what they have sealed, as you can't always guarantee a sealed copy when buying online - quite often they have palmed me off with shop-soiled unsealed cases with a purple sticker over the opening

Hey Gemini,

Thanks for the info! I hadn't even heard of ShopTo until you mentioned it there so will definitely check that out.

You're right, there are a few wii games that my chances of getting for under £20 are really really slim. I'm really wanting Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn and at the minute it seems like the cheapest you can get that for is around £60.  I mean, I bought my Twilight Princess not too long ago for £14 so these thing can happen ;) Oh and I really REALLY want a red strip sealed Mario Kart Wii but who even knows what that is actually worth!

Nevertheless good luck finding one - what is like impossible however. :)
