7 pointsIn the last six months I have had a shift in focus with my N64 collection, instead of going for every title Ive decided to stick to a small selection of great titles and where possible highest grades. I haven't updated much since the change so I thought i'd show you whats gone and whats arrived. Out with the old In with the new!
6 pointsAnother item for my to be graded pile
6 pointsA very special update for me today, I've been waiting to post these for a while, the heart of my collection, hope you enjoy! A big thanks to Pete for parting with Majoras Mask.
5 pointsHi all, I haven't updated for a while but have been working hard to update my collection. I have a big update to post shortly but thought I'd give you a taster of things to come, enjoy! The story behind Starwing and the UK design team that developed the Super FX chip (the worlds first GPU) for Nintendo can be found below: - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-07-04-born-slippy-the-making-of-star-fox Before Grading After grading (I suck at photography)
4 pointsNew games added, gold Star Wars set!
4 pointsHello from Canada. I exclusively collect Zelda. Besides the obvious loose carts, statue, adventure set, everything else is factory sealed.
4 pointssending these grailz to vga next week ... hope to get a gold or two :
3 pointsAmazing collection Pete ! Maybe with some more PS1 Games in the future ?!
3 pointsNow added to my collection after a lot of effort, man the new system is hard to work, thanks to Aieko. .
2 pointsAfter much demand, and being here a while I am finally going to start putting together my collection thread! I mainly collect n64, started with the full CIB set, but then wanted them all mint, then only way to go after that was to get them new & factory sealed. I have been collecting about a year now but have gone a bit nuts, its my hobby yes but also addicting. I do have lots of other things in my collection too, such as many promo items, consoles etc, but here I will just be showcasing my new items. Will update when I get new stuff in, or graded items back, but for now enjoy! I hope you enjoyed looking, I will keep the thread updated when I get new grades back and new stuff in, and of course if you have something you think I might want please get in touch
2 pointsNice controller dave! Fits perfect in your snes collection!
2 pointsGreat idea Chris and some fantastic adds there, especially Mario Kart I think a part of collecting is shifting your collection goals till you're completely happy, I'm certainly guilty of that too!
2 pointsIt just occurred to me...we rarely see PSX here. Lot of Nintendo love though! :-/ Shame. I thought PSX and N64 were pretty neck and neck in their time game quality wise... Regardless, great adds Pete!
2 pointsI miss my Blast Corps already.
2 pointsYep agree with Seph, cant beat that Konami title, hot shit
2 pointsThat Gasp is awesome brother. #oneofakind
2 pointsNice start mate .. keep up the good work ... my favorite is the Zelda Majora's Mask VGA95 ...
1 pointNice star wars set.
1 pointHey folks! For the last few years, video games meant to me the following: A lot of boom, lots of action, mega detailed graphics and for the most part only Triple A games! Call of Duty, Titanfall, Battlefield, GTA, Big and Bombastic! Until March of this year. The Nintendo switch was released and I, who was actually NOT wanted to buy a new Nintendo console, got a switch. The question, which game I have bought with it, does not have to be asked at all, because of course it was Zelda. My first video game in my life was Ocarina of Time, the last part I played was Twilight Princess. I went in without much expectations - and I was completely enchanted! No idea how many hours i spent in Breath of the Wild , but it has finally opened my eyes! A game does not have to have the best and most up-to-date graphics, it does not always have to explode and bang trough the headset speakers! And that's exactly why I've played a lot of indie games and some old classics, especially Zelda games! Now I know why so many are talking good about Majoras Mask, because I'm playing it now! Anyway, long story short, I got a CiB Ocarina of Time to put it in my glass cabinet. Then I found a CiB NTSC version... and now I have 2 VGAs, 3 sealed games, 2 Japanese imports and its own wall for it! I started with all this at the beginning of May and even though I have already collected a little bit (which is not a comparison with the extreme collections here, but I have a small purse), I wanted to post my little developments in this thread here and post little updates time to time. I hope to find here some equal thinking people and maybe a few tips or recommendations! Shoutout at this point to acidjaguar, which already helped me so much (update to it later). Although I have several games in my collection, I am concentrating on Ocarina of Time & Majoras Mask right now (because the money, you know)! My current requests and looking-for's: Ocarina of Time NTSC Sealed (or Graded) Ocarina of Time JAPAN Sealed (or Graded) Loose Ocarina of Time Collectors Edition Cartridge Ocarina of Time NOT FOR RESALE Cartridge MINT Ocarina of Time (Limited Edition) Guide US and JAPAN Majoras Mask NTSC Sealed (or Graded) Majoras Mask Japan Sealed (or Graded) Loose Majoras Mask NTSC Cartridge Loose Majoras Mask PAL Cartridge Majoras Mask NOT FOR RESALE Cartridge MINT Majoras Mask (Limited Edition) Guide US and JAPAN Please contact me when you can help me or know where to find for a reasonable price (: And now pictures of the collection! https://imgur.com/gallery/oZC1B (By the way, i hope it's okay to post this on a few boards and forums, so i reach out to more people and collectors!)
1 pointLooks great mate, dont talk to me about grading pile..mine is a beast, I need to stop feeding it!
1 pointHoly shit, great add mate. I've never seen a red strip snes controller
1 pointI agree with Enze, only collect what u love Chris. Not worthwhile to go for every shit title which doesnt make u happy in the end and which u maybe only buy because it has a red strip seal around it, haha. ...and as i see, your doing it right! My favorite is the Mario Golf VGA90, damn! Beautiful gem in my opinion! Congrats on the latest adds, good job mate!
1 pointLove it mate all world class additions.
1 pointyeah mate , all our collections evolve as do our collecting habits .. i love that mp2 85+ and the mario golf 90 congratz on all your new additions
1 pointAgree on both paragraphs. Like Nintendo, the PSX sealed market more than likely has their fair share of hard to find, one-of-a-kind items. But you'd never know it, or how available they actually are. For example, I know the PAL black label Crash Bandicoot games are high in demand; but no one could really give you a number of how many are there out there. However, the original Donkey Kong Country on SNES was "rare as hens teeth" back in 2013, now over the past12 months, I've seen 5 or so pop up on this forum - even a 95 grade! Anyway, enough ranting/taking over Petes thread
1 pointThey really were yes, i agree with you. I also had the psx and the n64 console to the same time. One day i played the n64, the other day the psx. It was a must to have both consoles at once! Strange there are so less psx collectors in this forum. I think most people are afraid of lose discs and reseals... Even if new psx collectors join the forum, i think they see that this forum is to 90% about Nintendo only. They wont find many people here with which they could share their psx sealed collecting hobby, so they probably leave again before we even noticed them, lol...
1 pointAwesome adds mate! Three of the very best Zelda titles
1 pointHeh maybe mate, would have to be titles I am pretty close too growing up, but n64 my main passion of course
1 pointNew additions, thanks for Mike for these, you know I don't mind my qualified games, so happy with paper until I can upgrade to red strip KI I have had for a while just forgot to add it haha
1 pointEpic stuff tkC. Congrats on those high graded items!
1 pointYou must have some kind of psychic powers crossing that Majora out, it's now in TKC's collection.
1 pointHoly crap, well done mate those are incredible additions.
1 pointLooks canny that Shadows of the Empire Matty! One of the first games I ever played on my N64
1 pointUploading pics is actually pretty easy in this new forum. You just have to spend a bit time to find out how it works, what i personally did when creating Aeikos whole collection-thread.
1 pointNew one added today, thanks to Matty, my favourite game so always needed to get a first print, just happy to have it!
1 pointThanks John, they all came from one epic find. I was lucky enough to get a couple. Starwing post updated with an ungraded picture along with a link to the history of the game and Super FX chip for those interested.
1 pointCongrats Nick on the update! WTF is going on with all the SNES Pal 95s lately?!
1 pointLovely 95 bro, post the real grail up!!!!!!
1 pointIncredible high grade My congrats to you. Very nice game!
1 pointVery nice mate .... that game belongs in my collection
1 pointBrb just selling my practically unused and mint condition kidneys, to be able to make you an offer on this
1 pointYes, that 95 MM is amazing!
1 point1. Its a silver graded game. Which is not gold. This is a self explanatory point 2. Its not in archival casing so probably Dave was drunk when pulling the trigger on this 3. [joke]As it is a silver grade game, the chances it comes from aussie Mike is pretty big[/joke] 4. The positive thing about it seems to be that the case is not cracked and its in the poly bag 5. Its a solid strip game. These were not sealed by Nintendo. Some say its Bandai games thats sealed like this 6. My problems regarding is versus are does not apply to this post as I am a grammar genius lol
1 pointhaha , yeah glad got half of my n64 collection for them i'm sure the happyhaters will be loving this
1 pointtkC didn't post anything
1 pointI see you are collecting both archival and non archival cased games To be a super pro collector you need to collect archival cased games only.. It hurts my OCD to see a collection based on both Some nice games there though, keep up the good work
1 pointAs you are an admin you should be able to +1 your own posts? Also, that 90 Tetris is pretty schweeeeet
1 pointNice collection you've got there, Stian Welcome back, mate
1 pointThats a nice collection.. Brad
