Pier Solar And The Great Architects seems to have become more popular than the developers, WaterMelon, had ever hoped!
Members of the Pier Solar team have recently spoken out in regards to a shortage of the European version of the game, to the point where it emerges that it has actually “Sold out” on pre-orders!
Fonzie, the main programmer writes:
“given fact the game should have been released few months ago, the sold-out while still in preorder state was unfortunately expected
No, there wont be more copies produced of the european version”
Zebbe, the game designer, goes as far as mentioning that there will be no second print of this version of the game, although there may be another printing sometime in the future, but it will not be packaged the same as this initial first print run
“Making a second run of this edition is not possible for various reasons. The game will be available in the future though, but not exactly like this exclusive version. We will see when the game is done and released.”
They also state that the Japanese Mega Drive and North American Genesis designs are still available to pre-order, with the only noticeable differences being in the box artwork, as the game itself will be multi-lingual for all versions sold – Therefore, if you’re looking to invest in a copy of the game, you’ll either have to order the Japanese or US version, or wait for European copies to inevitably appear on eBay at greatly inflated prices!
