Recent blogs from developers, WaterMelon, report that their epic SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis RPG, Pier Solar And The Great Architects (Formerly known as ‘Tavern RPG‘), is nearing completion – At long last!
After many development set-backs, and countless release dates, it seems that Pier Solar is finally undergoing its finishing stages! Fans and long-time followers of the indie-developed RPG will already know that the development team previously lost one of its graphics designers over a year ago, along with many of the games pixel art elements. One year later, they are again within sight of finishing the game, and it’s looking better than ever!
The game – Created by a group of old-school RPG fans and homebrewers – Is currently entering the final beta testing phase, and as soon as translations are finished and any bugs ironed out, it’ll be ready to go into production!
Pier Solar has gained an immense cult following amongst Mega Drive and RPG fans alike, and those who pre-ordered the game wait in anticipation to play the first brand new Mega Drive game in well over a decade!
The standard edition comes on a 64meg cartridge and also includes:
